how can i know my fps in different games as:
Q3..version 1.3 whenever i try timedemo or show or draw fps...it says.." cheats are not allowed on this server "...guess this is due to the latest version....
also in serious sam...nothing works....to show fps..

is there a site i can goto???

You can run 3DMark 2001 or UT if you're trying to figure out how good your system is.

Otherwise, just run your FPS in an offline game.

I was thinking there is a 'master' code you have to put in first. I don't play Q3, so I'm not sure. Have you checked Google for 'quake 3 cheats'?

Q3:
/cg_drawfps 1 should show your fps. This isn't a cheat protected cvar. If you get an error, there is some sort of problem. Try the command 1st thing after you start q3, before you join a game or anything.


I can't remember the console command in serious sam. I've used it in the past so I know one exists. Do a search in google for "serious sam" and "console".
