Hi, i´ve got some issues with my new graphics card.

I have installed latest WHQL drivers ( 572.16 ) and have just one big boy problem.

My rig is enought to feed the card with power, but still getting some weird behaviour.

Problem is - GPU frequency changes every restart PC i do. Sometimes its (i.e.1800MHz), 2600 MHz and so on, random clocks. Memory clocks are same even after restart or OC. This way is OK, but frquency of GPU is something what i would like to resolve, but i dont know how i could do it.

Can anybody help?

what i tried :
Clean install of drivers (removed old with DDU)
MSI AB turn off / on
Set Maximum performance in Power Settings in Windows and in graphic settings within Nvidia Control Panel

PC Specs
MB : ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU : Palit GeForce RTX 5080 Gaming Pro
RAM : 2x48GB Kingston Fury 6000 MHz, CL32
PSU : Be Quiet Pure Power 1200w

other is not important

I would also look into your BIOS version and see if there are any updates pending. Be sure to clear the CMOS after verifying your BIOS was successfully flashed.

Clean install of drivers (removed old with DDU)
Use DDU in Safe Mode to remove all GPU drivers(Intel, AMD and Nvidia), then manually reinstall the latest GPU driver in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

My rig is enought to feed the card with power, but still getting some weird behaviour.
I would also look at how the 12V2x6 connection to the GPU is and if it's fully seated without any visible gaps between connections.

Hello, thank you for your reply.

1) Already have latest BIOS for Motherboard and already did CMOS reset and even tried on default settings = no change
2) Will try then uninstall all three drivers in safe mode.
3) I double check it again if it's seated correctly.

Then i will reply back, if it helps or not. But as i saw on reddit i am not alone with this problem.

Are you sure it isn't clocking based on the activity? The GPU clock wouldn't be maxed out for example if you were idle in windows. Are you getting strange behavior in apps?
Yes i am in struggle still with memory clocks when playing. Few games even crashes before loading th e main menu ... Even if i select in nvidia panel to "Maximum performance" and in windows of course too, problem still exist. Games are pain, if it's not at maximum (normal) clock speed. Memory speed is OK, even after overclocking, but Core no. Its not dependent on load / power limit, its just same. After restart of PC it sometimes change to something else. Like once i had 1700MHz only on Core.
