Hi, I've been having issues with my computer BSODing frequently. It started a few months ago maybe only getting 1 BSOD every day or two, but it has gotten worse lately. I built this computer around 2 years ago and before a few months ago I was having no issues.

I recently wiped my SSD and did a fresh install of windows, but that didn't fix the issue. I've run memtest86 and it did 4 passes with no errors found. I've also swapped out my RAM with another PC that doesn't have issues and that didn't fix the issue.

Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
Mobo: B450 AORUS Elite
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER
DDR4 3200 RAM 2x8GB
Samsung EVO 970 1TB NVMe m.2 SSD
Windows 10 Pro

Here's a zipped folder of some of the dmp files: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1F8y8OSF6IN6kYPJ4u1sNwPbW4YJQuRXa/view?usp=sharing

Does anyone know what might be the problem or how I could find out? I'd think it's a hardware issue since a fresh install didn't help, but is there a way to figure out which parts I need to replace? I guess it's also possible some of the drivers windows automatically installed are causing the issue.

Let me know if there's any more info that would be useful, and thanks a ton in advance!

BugCheck: [IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (A)]
Probably caused by: ntkrnlmp.exe (Process: System)
Uptime: 0 Day(s), 10 Hour(s), 37 Min(s), and 56 Sec(s)

is worker 3 still sticking? I don't know how much I can trust dumps if the Worker is still not finishing. In other peoples PC, its a sign of an unstable Overclock, but you not overclocked. Could be the CPU.
RAM had arrived when I was done with work for the day, so I just swapped it out. Gonna run Prime95 again and I'll report back.

That was fast, after 10 minutes worker #3 errored again. This time due to the resulting sum being off. Every time before it was a rounding issue. Does this mean there's a probably an issue with the CPU or PSU now?

Well, thats a pain. So that means ram wasn't cause. Sorry about that.

I really don't like guessing

Of the 2 I would look at this more than the CPU - https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gigabyte-p550b-power-supply-review - we didn't rate it highly and a lot of the review is saying to buy something else.

Instead of guessing you could get a repair store to look. I don't know if its PSU or maybe CPU. I don't see many CPU problems but its always possible.

I don't like costing people money.

It's really okay. I'm happy to spend a bit to get the issue fixed. Is there a PSU that you'd recommend that's sub $100?

this is just a little over 100 - https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categ...ply-Units-Advanced/RMx-Series/p/CP-9020177-NA

other choice I would look at is a Seasonic GX 550 but I don't know where you are for pricing. They cost more where I am but everything is. They make good PSU, my last 2 have been theirs.

Doesn't help to cheap out on PSU as everything in PC relies on it.

Looks like I can get the Seasonic FOCUS GX-550 for right at $100. You think I should pick that one up over the slightly more expensive Corsair?

You're right I shouldn't cheap out on PSU. I just want my computer to be stable so I'm willing to buy the Corsair if it's the best.

Let me know how you go :)

goes out on limb: its possible it was non consistent enough to give the power the ram and cpu need to maintain the right rounding. Its probably more likely to be it than CPU (but as you know, I been wrong before).

The new Seasonic PSU arrived today much earlier than expected. I plugged it in and reran Prime95. I'm still getting a rounding error on worker #3 after 12 minutes this time. Does this mean the CPU is now the culprit? Do I need to replace both the CPU and the mobo, or could I just get a new CPU?

Should I buy this? https://www.microcenter.com/product...oxed-processor-wraith-stealth-cooler-included

I'm within driving distance from a microcenter so I could pick that up this week if that's the next step. At this point I should almost just build a new computer with all these parts I'm buying.

this is why I don't like guessing.

I am not going to say what it is now. Sorry, but 2 times I said its probably X and it hasn't been.
I hope its the CPU at this point
It's really alright, I just want my system to be stable again. It still hasn't crashed yet with the new PSU but since it errored in Prime95 I'm guessing it's just a matter of time..

What would you do if you were in my situation? Are there any other tests I could run to try to see if it is the CPU or something else? Would you just buy a new CPU and hope for the best?

Is XMP off when you run Prime 95?
how many sticks in for the test?

Prime tests CPU, ram & power mostly. You replaced 2 of those. So it is possible its CPU since its always the same worker. this person kept getting same workers stop, and replacing CPU fixed it - https://forum.level1techs.com/t/do-i-have-a-bad-core/149388/14

Problem is Motherboard is what they all run on, so if its not CPU, it could have been MB all along. There are no tests for the motherboard or I wouldn't be stuck guessing.

What would I do? I would be thinking I need a new PC too :)
But if i had to choose, I would hope CPU is the cause.

I've never turned on XMP at all. I'm using both sticks of RAM.

I think I'll try buying a new CPU if I'm still getting crashes since I can pick one up at Microcenter. I believe the Ryzen 5 5600 should be compatible with my motherboard, so it shouldn't be too hard to swap out.

Thanks again for the help and I'll keep you updated on how it goes.
