I am so embarassed to post this. I need urgent help, and thank you in advance!
- PC is freshly built, I think some "mulex" connections i may have done wrong, case vents are on, all leds/rgbs are on, CPU AIO is on (with leds lit), but RAM light from mobo is also on and NO usb is working , neither from the motherboard nor from the case. Also monitor says no power detected - going into sleep mode when in reality i ve already selected the DP as source on my monitor (first boot ever)
-I have built a brand new pc for my 14 yo cousin to have for at least 5-6 years only needing to change gpu: ryzen 9 7900x3D, ROG STRIX 670E, ROG THOR 1000W PSU, 64G HyperX Fury, 2TB Samsung m.2, ARCTIC III AIO, TUF case and gave him my old 2080ti (he ll upgrade gpu later, for now this should be more than enough for him)
-The connections I have assured I have done right, 24 ATX to PSU, 16 CPU to PSU, 16 GPU to PSU, all of the LEDs have been connected properly (AURA) , they all work, and regarding the case - ON/OFF button works, and all chasis fans work, 3 in the front and 1 in the back (including their LEDs) .
What does NOT work is the USB connections, none from the motherboard, none from the case.
Here is the tricky part:
The case had some weird cables called mulexes, they were hanging from the same spot the 3 front fans and pw led + - connectors were hanging. Still, I understand those are for the fans, and the fans work. There was a cable to connect to for the USB of the case supposedly, it had many entrances and was kinda thick, I can assure you I have connected that to the ONLY place possible on the mobo and it fitted perfectly. Still, those cables looked like they were intertwined (they had a band with 2 pins and 2 connectors on each, interconnected to themselves and to the band). There was one that also had a data like connection end , but the PSU had ends for both these and the mulex that matched perfectly, and the other ends went straight into the PSU. Still, it looks like 1 extra 4 pins not to connected to anything (it was extra , no end connected to, but attached to the band), same for the mulex. Stil, I dont see how this would affect my USB slots to make them not work at all.
I may have appplied unnecessary pressure onto the CPU when trying to mount the cooler, but guess that would not be a problem as of not to make the usb slots work, they work neither on the mb nor on the case). But guess I should have seen the cpu led be lit for this , right?
Also, the RAM led is on, but I dont know why or how, I have installed the RAM s , with the writing on the ram from left to right , left being towards the bottom of the case and right towards the top, into the nearest 2 slots to the cpu socket. What is even wrong in this? The supports also clicked when they were installed. I have even tried pressing the CMOS button for 10 seconds while the PC was shut down and nothing.
