If it's for games, save money and get the i5-3570K over the i7, which offers no benefit in games.
Frostytech found the Xigmatek Gaia to cool within 1C (i.e. a reasonable error margin) and run 6db quieter than the Crappermaster. It's also only $20 at Newegg right now.
I'd also choose a non-Sandfarce SSD, such as a Samsung 830 or Crucial M4.

My friend does HD video and audio editing and a very small amount of 3D visuals. So the 16GB of RAM is needed for that but as far as I know the i7 handle the RAM a lot better than the i5 so it would be preferred over the i5 for work.
