On program startup with opening screen floatplane as background I
get the following error.

Error - Microsoft Flight Simulator cannot find requested flight. The
default flight will now try to load.

Sys info - P4 2.4G/1024MB mem/XP home edition/FFeedback 2

The program was working fine and was closed normally though I did
delete some of my saved flights. The program still works fine it just
has the error on startup. Did I delete something I shouldn't?

I compared the "myflight" folder to the one on my win 98 drive and
they are identical. I deleted the same flights on that drive just
before deleting on my XP drive. It doesn't have the error. Thanks in
advance for any assistance.

I want to thank DocJeff for his assistance with my last post and
pass along that the P-51D from "CFS eu" was easy to import into
FS2002. I just copied the airplane file over.

Important - I also want to pass along something unusual I noticed
while importing the mustang. I have 2 physical hard drives, one with
XP installed and the other has win98. I had "CFS eu" installed on each
drive, I then purchased and installed FS2002.

When FS2002 installed it copied all of it's gauge files into CFS
and imported all of CFS's gauges. This happened on each OS. I looked
through a few more folders but didn't see any other file transfers. A
little unusual to say the least.

Never mind - Creating a new flight and setting it as the default has a
wondrous effect on this error. Since becoming disabled I'm reminded
daily of why I can no longer repair/service Catscan's and MRI's.

Note - I'd still like feedback from anyone on FS2002 importing and
exporting gauge files on installation. The MS document DocJeff
referred me to described importing a plane from CFS2 into FS'02.
Simply copy the desired plane folder and it's gauge files into FS'02.
It was worth trying on the mustang in CFS European theatre. When I
was locating the correct files and folders I noticed all the gauge
files had already been "shared" between "CFS eu" and FS'02. I went
back at checked all the files in each program and it's subfolders. I
found no evidence that any other files had been imported or exported.
