Has anyone kept a list of adventure games that install fully and do not
require a cd in the drive? I would really appreciate knowing some of those
user-friendly game titles. Thanks.

Yes. Also
Crystal Key 2
Starship Titanic
Fifth Disciple
Legacy: Dark Shadows
Sentinel
Schizm 2
Lifestream
The Arrangement
(Lifestream and The Arrangement are indie games, not available
in retail stores. I think Harvest,by the maker of The Arrangement,
also had a complete install)
Dark Fall: Lights Out (I think the original Dark Fall: The Journal
also installed completely to hard drive)
Alida
RHEM
(Alida and RHEM have manual installs, but will play without
the CD in the drive after you do the install)

Atlantis Evolution (though I wouldn't recommend it unless you
enjoy old arcade games)

And then there are games that can be made to run from the
hard drive, like Riven - just copy the contents of the
Data files from all the Riven CD's to the Data file in the
game install on your hard drive and the game won't need
the CD's anymore.

Using Daemon Tools, you can pretty much make all adventure games play
without the cd in the drive. Of course, it takes alot of hard drive
space to do it, especially with multi cd adventures.

Some sites offer "cracked" versions of game executables which allows to play
the game without any need for drive-mounted cd's ...

Get Alcohol 120% and make a virtual drive from a disk image.
