Question Fully Encrypting Formatted SSDs for resale

I have some SSDs that were formatted using diskpart clean, not clean all.

Since then I have decided to use bitlocker and encrypt the full drive and just wanted to check that this method will encrypt everything on the drive, even previously deleted data?

My worry is that because it has been formatted, and then encrypted, will this encrypt just the current disk data (which is nothing as it was formatted) or will it fully encrypt any previous data as long as I use full disk encryption?

As you can see in this tutorial, at some point BitLocker will ask you if you want to encrypt the used disk space only (i.e. your data) or the entire drive.

But I don't understand why you're asking this when people have already told you to do a secure erase.
