NO x8 will slow you down like 10% not worth it when you can get the gigabyte x48-ds4 open box for $160 and all youd need to do is download drivers

I have looked ayt bench marks. Yes on a tiny screen it downt hurt but at resolutions 1600x1200 it goes down fast.

NOT to mention, what about in 1 or 2 years when he wants a new graphics card. those WILL be severely bottlenecked.

so yes the p45 is ok for now if you have a small screen

BUT if you want a bigger screen or the option to upgrade GPUS later.... p45 no good

idk I can get that but idk if I even need that and like I said idk about crossfire really, what if I just get like 2 8800GTS 640mb and a new SLi motherboard could my ULTRA 600 watt PSU be ok for that?

Can I run 2 8800GT in SLi mode with my current ULTRA 600 watt PSU, I'm guessing yes bc if I can run 2 4850s lol, I think I can SLi 2 EVGA 8800GT

2 MSI 8800GT OC in SLi beat 2 8800GTX in SLi thats impressive lol, remember im coming off a single gpu old 7950GT 512mb video card.. And plus I'm running a low resolution and >19 inch monitor too.. So I play at lower resolutions as it is..

That's it i've made up my mind, The Visiontek HD4870 is the card I'm going to get, along with Windows Vista 64-bit and 2 more GB of pc6400 ddr2 800mhz to bring my total mem to 4gb pc6400, do you guys think I should go for 6gb pc6400 ddr2 800 or is 4gb enough?
