Sorry to start a thread that you all probably see every day, but here it goes:
I'm very new to the whole overlocking thing and have a few questions. I have an unlocked FX-6100 with an Asrock 970 Extreme4 mobo & I remember seeing that when overclocking an unlocked processor you don't have to worry about tweaking the fsb/memory timing/etc: all that matters is the cpu multiplier and voltage. If this is true, what would be a good configuration to achieve a moderate (≈4.1ghz) and stable system?

thanks

I have mine stable at 1.33 volts (drops to 1.30 under 100% load).

4038.31 MHz (230.00 * 17.5)
HT 2300
I found bumping the CPU-NB voltage by a couple of increments helped stabilize the rounding errors prime gives off.

Watercooled with 240mm radiator runs about 41 degree's under 100% for 12 hours. (37 core temp)
Core temp is 1 degree in idle lol. CPU is about 18 in idle. 15-17 degree's in ambience.

Hope that helps. :)
