Upgrading memory and OS. Going from 32bit XP Pro to 64bit Windows7 Ultimate. Would like to bump memory from 2gb to 8gb.

Power supply, board and processor below. Currently using 2gb OCZ.

OCZ GameXStream OCZ600GXSSLI 600W ATX12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply

ABIT IP35 Pro LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 Conroe 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor BX80557E6850

Need to know it G SKILL F2-6400CL4D-4GBPI-B will play nice with board. Tried to upgrade the OCZ with two sticks and discovered would not work. Teach me not to check the manufacturers website (MOBO that is)

If anyone has any thoughts or can confirm this config will work, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

I did indeed follow the motherboard manufacturers instructions for installing RAM. The new OCZ worked fine in the first two slots, just like the originals did. However, due to my own lack of research, ABITs memory spec clearly showed that the additional memory would not work, they themselves had tested it. So now switching types, hence the question on whether the gskill would work in either the 4gb or 8gb combination with windows 7 ultimate.

Thanks
