What is the fastest chip you can drop into this motherboard? The box says
200/266FBS. But the book says only 100/133? The web site for Gigabyte also
say 200/233. Anyone know for sure about the ? I currently have a Duron 900
installed curious about upgrading.

Due to the doubling effects of DDR, a 100 MHz FSB clock gives you 200 and a
133 MHz FSB clock gives you 266.
If you are going for the fastest, then get a CPU which uses 266 FSB. The
fastest one that AMD did, AFAIK, was the early version of the XP2600 - but
you don't see them too often. Current (or recent) XP2600 CPUs use a 333 FSB
which means the multiplier won't have them running at their full speed from
a 266 FSB. XP2500s seem to only come in 333 FSB too, so an XP2400 is your
most likely bet. Use a decent HSF too.
If you fancy risking overclocking, then an XP1900 which is not
multiplier-locked should be able to be run at the same speed as an XP2400 -
they use the same thoroughbred core with a 266 FSB.
