I've had a GAEMS M155 Portable Monitor (http://www.gamestop.com/elect/electronics/m-155-performance-gaming-monitor/118592) for roughly a year now and I've loved using it as a option to take on the go as well as a second monitor on my desktop. Today, when I went to plug the micro usb power cord into the monitor, the power connector fell out of the IO shield, fell back into the monitor, and now it is no longer accessible. The port currently looks like the attached pictures, no actual port there, just an opening that connects to the internals of the monitor. If I roll the monitor around I can feel and hear a rattling within the monitor. I believe it could be the connector but not 100% sure. I stuck tweezers into the opening to try and find the connector but with no success. The monitor was working earlier today so I believe it would work if I could somehow gain access to the port again. I would attempt a disassembly to fix it IF there were any visible screws or iFixit type guides on how to open the monitor, however I have had no luck there as well. My concern is that the connector could be broken and beyond repair but I wouldn't ultimately know without seeing it.

This Amazon reviewer experienced a similar problem, so I know it isn't super uncommon.

I just want to know what my options could be at this point. I could probably teardown the monitor with some force but I don't know if reassembly would be possible. I am considering some ultra thin magnetic tweezers of sorts to try and get the connector out but I know that electronics and magnets don't like to mix so it's kind of a last resort. GAEMS has also released a newer 2017 model of the monitor which looks nice but I'd rather not have to spend ANOTHER $170 on a monitor that might even have similar problem, especially if my current problem can be resolved somehow.

Please anyone, I'll listen to anything at this point. All ideas are welcome.

Umm usb connectors are mostly attached to the board, so umm your monitor is a goner, BUT maby you can pm a mod asking that question

The same thing happened to me today. I can't figure out a solution. Tried to open the thug g up, but there are no screws... I hope someone finds a solution
