Game Breaking Bug Already Spotted in Diablo 3

This game is nothing but disappointment. Even when you can log on the graphics are terrible, they've (practically) eliminated character customization, and the lag is awful. If you're trying to play hardcore the lag is a huge disadvantage.

Also, this is a game breaking bug. You are bound to try to give your NPC equipment, and when you do you get booted from the game entirely? With all the other problems it's ridiculous.

Not that I'm not playing it, but it really seems just like a "repainted" version of DiabloII with somewhat better graphics and essentially all the same areas and mobs (at least in Act I and II). Lots of new stuff under the hood and there are bound to be bugs - I would like to see any of the whiners do better.

Everyone's acting like 5 year olds yelling at blizzard for bugs and login problems. As Nightsilver rightly points out, it's been two days. I mean come on people, what would you expect? And a temporary bug preventing login isn't game-breaking, that's nonsense. I've played almost all of normal difficulty and it's a good game. Reviewers with more experience know this and have generally given it good press, deservedly so.

With all the negative comments everywhere I feel like I'm the only one enjoying it. Only lvl 26 barbarian and a couple tens but... I like it. I did not try to play al oo😱o on day one, but I've been playing a couple nights with no problems. Btw gave my follower a couple shields already...

On the other hand I miss the DII necro... a lot. And at least at low level the Wizard sucks big time.

The bug only happened with one class, under specific circumstances. Also, I think it's already been patched, so your reporting on something 2 days old and already fixed.

I'm not terribly surprised that there are issues like this. I do wonder however how this certain bug somehow slipped under the radar as it sounds to be like a common action a player would do.
I decided it would be best to wait it out and not buy at launch to not have to deal with issues like this and hopefully pick the game up on sale. I waited 12 years, adding a little more time to that isn't going to change anything.

The more complex a system, the more prone to errors it will become...

This applies to all forms of systems: Software, Hardware, Automotive, Social, Government, Economic, Academic, Infrastructure, Mechanical, Mathematical, Environmental, etc, etc, etc......

I had pre ordered 2 retail games but canceled them after the boring run during the beta weekend. Unlimited resets resulting in ever player of my class having the same skills sucks. One of the things that made diablo 2 so re playable not to mention stat points that made diablo 1 stand out. This game is limited to single path that will require many expansions to keep players. Think ill look for a game with more modern graphics. This old style graphics design needed ever advantage possible which clearly it doesn't.

We are yelling at Blizzard about login problems because you should not have to login to play the single player side of the game.

I have yet to come across this "game breaking bug." I've equipped my Templar with a few different shields and weapons so far. I never crashed because of this specifically.

My crashes have been random and in different locations. No consistency to them.

Very annoying though. I gave up last night after getting disconnected 7-8 times in a row.

Templar shield bug? What templar shield bug? Oh, you mean the one that was fixed on launch day? Yeah, because I'm a Demon Hunter (the primary class affected by that bug) and I've been equipping shields on my templar all day long without a problem. Because, as Blizzard announced, they fixed it. Way to try and capitalize on old, outdated news.

Was kicked out yesterday..." server client has disconnected..." anyway it was time to sleep. So far not impressed with D3. Took me like hour to connect error 37.
Now after 3 espressos and exciting win of SVK over CAN ...I'm pumped!

I really like how people try to overstate the importance of some things in order to get page hits. I also like how others downvote people who actually play the game and enjoy it. I pre-ordered Diablo 3, and I couldn't play at the 12:00 when the game was release. I could not play the next day for that matter and I am still enjoying the game now. I don't have nothing against Blizzard and I feel like this game brings back the feeling I had in D2.: very nice story and loads of fun.

There are 3 of us playing in my home (me, wife, son) and so far (huge knock on wood) we've had zero issues, no bugs, no server full, and fun multiplayer mayhem. It's definitly true to the Diablo name gameplay wise and I'm disappointed they dumbed down levelling... but so far it's been just as fun to play as the first two.

Having said that... I so far see absolutely zero value to the customer in having a sp/lan mp game require hosted servers to play, Diablo is one of the VERY few titles I'd tolerate it with... other games I just wouldn't buy (until they're $9.00 bargain bin on steam).

Yeah, it is updated quite often. Right now, there's a one hour that become two hour server maintenance. It sucks but they got to fix it. Anyways, it is same old same old but still addicting.

I never encountered any problem...I knew the first day will be hell to log in ..2nd day no problem ..and to day nothing ....I decided to play a barbarian ...it rocks ..I did encountered a bug ..but since is to the player advantage I'm not going to talk about it ...lol....

Too bad they don't have a "Dungeon Keeper" mode where you can at least take on a 1st person point of view every once in a while to make the game more entertaining.
