This problem has been happening since yesterday. I'm playing Witcher 3 and the game freezes for about 2-4 seconds, every 30 seconds give or take. During the freezes, a tab out and see a little popup saying Windows Kernel Driver-something has crashed. Then after that message, another one pops up saying that the application (witcher3.exe) has been blocked from accessing Graphics Hardware. I tried playing TF2, and it's fine, no crashes or anything. I've checked the tempatures, and theyre fine, so its not an overheating issue. CPU and GPU usage is normal, not sure what the issue is here. I really need help! Ciri needs saving!

SPECS:

Intel i5 4690k
MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G
8 GB RAM
1TB HDD
Corsair CX600M
ASROCK Z97 FATAL1TY

Solution
Try running the game as administrator. Right click on witcher3.exe> go to properties> go under compatibility tab> look for "run as administer"> check it> click ok and run the game.

Nope, didn't work.

Please check out this screenshot I found of the basic to the best system requirements needed to run Witcher III properly

If all of these basic ( better? ) standards are met, you should be running fine.

This link was a google I did to figure out what the driver ( that's interfering with your gameplay ) does.

I think I have your answer.
****Perhaps the Kernel driver is incompatible with Witcher III, which directly impacts your graphics card?****
If you find a way to uninstall the driver, go for it. Other than usage for developers; I think its not worth keeping around if its been creating these issues.
I don't entirely understand this issue though, so be sure to consult with others before doing this.
