Question Game freezes when playing

So I bought Sekiro: shadows die twice a few days back but I haven't been able to play it because it keeps freezing. My pc specs are are the following:

OS: Windows 10 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i7-8700
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080
PSU: Seasonic 650W FOCUS+ 650 Gold
DirectX: Version 12

Any idea what could be causing this? the freezing occurs in about 2-10 minutes after I start playing.

I've tried to:
-Verify integrity of the game files
-download the latest drivers
-use old drivers
-clean boot my pc
-reinstall the game
-tried to play the game in windowed mode

Nothing has worked so far. I'm getting real frustrated because of this Any help would be most appreciated.

Download and install Hard Disk Sentinel, this will let you know if you have a Hard Disk problem or not.
At least it will eliminate one of the causes if the HDD is OK.

Alright, I downloaded it and it said my SSD is in perfect condition. Anything else I should try?

Then I take it you just have the 1 drive in your computer
Have you ever used DDU?
Download DDU from here

Do exactly what it says when you run it, which basically means you boot into Safe Mode, run the program and it removes ALL drivers, then reinstall the new ones
A scan on your computer for Malware is always recommended.

I have used DDU to try to solve this problem but unfortunately it doesn't work.

I also tried to play it in big picture mode and it froze. Also it said this: D3D device was removed due to DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

Based on your hardware specifications, it looks like you have a locked i7 8700 that most likely came with a stock cooler. Check your cpu temps while gaming.

I am not using the stock cooler but I'll check out my CPU temps

Ok, my CPU temp max was 57C and my GPU was 60C that doesn't seem too high to me

No that's fine, but make sure you're checking while you are playing not after because temps drop quickly. If you have an aftermarket cooler you're most likely fine. What about the graphics card?

I do have an aftermarket cooler. What do you want to know about the graphics card?
