i need a great gift for him ( he is moving to a different state next semester of college )

I would not give them Rift or GW2. You don't want to turn your friend into an MMO addict.

well skyrim would be obvious since he really likes the series, other good choices are AC3, Dishonored and ME3 all really awsome games, and yea like bystander said dont get him an mmo he will get addicted )

Max Payne 3 is pretty bad@ss but if he still hasn't played GTA IV at this point, definitely get him that.

Hmm..k..then you already have a lot of good suggestions..get him a game from a series he has'nt played like AC3 or Far Cry 3 if you are sure he'll like it..or you can get him something he already likes..Skyrim or GTA

you could also get him mods for oblivion (for free).
