I found a software program called GameDrive, created by Farstone, it lets you make up to 23 Virtual CDs, that the GameDrive program stores on your hardrive itself, so you don't have to run the game CD in the CDROM drive, which tramsfers DATA at ATA33, VSs hardrive transfers up to ATA133, if your drive is that fast, you're running straight from the hardrive, and the response is liquid smooth and instantaneous, much better than the No CD patches, that sometimes can cause problems. You don't wait for the CDROM to spinup and catch up to where you're at, I cannot believe the difference this program has made, even games that seemed kind of sluggish or shaky, are smooth now, I wish I'd known about this program a long time ago. So far its not just worked for games either, I've got a Bible software program that has to run the CD in the CDROM drive to operate, and its running that program too. I found it at Best Buy for $19.99 and its worth every penny, you guys and gals have got to try this, you won't believe it, I promise you.

I prefer Daemon Tools myself. I'm not positive, but I think you can download that for free. Or at least I was able to, *nudge nudge. Poop on paying for a virtual drive. Clone Cd also have a virtual drive function to it, but I don't like it. Anyway it's nice software to buy because you can clone almost any game cd with it (if you have a good cdr-rom drive like a lite-on). Some games have CDR detection and you can't run your duped game. Clone CD can disable that feature (if you're in canada, doesn't work in US regional settings).

I use daemon tools as well. Whatever program you prefer though, make sure you have at least one. They're invaluable. Especially when you compare loading a CD burned at 2x vs running the game off a WD JB drive.

Also, if you have an old CD-RW, there's a good chance that it won't burn the new copy protection but Daemon Tools can emulate it.
