Question Games freeze for several seconds at a time

Hello everyone,

My laptop has started freezing during gaming. The freezing is frequent and lasts for about 10-15 seconds at a time. Also, the games I play aren't that graphically demanding. I've no idea why this has started happening and can't figure out what's causing the problem. I only have Intel integrated graphics on my laptop, and I use the latest drivers. I've tested my RAM using MemTest86 and my SSD using 'chkdsk' and found no issues. I've also used System File Checker to repair a couple of corrupted files.

Here are the main specs of my Lenovo Ideapad S340 laptop:

• CPU: Dual-core Intel Core i3-1005G1 with a base clock speed of 1.2 GHz (but can go up to 3.4 GHz)
• GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 920 with 1 GB of VRAM (Intel Ice Lake-U GT2 32EU LM - Integrated Graphics [Lenovo])
• RAM: 8 GB DDR4 SDRAM (Dual-channel)
• OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home (64-bit)

Is it getting too hot. Have you cleanded out the heatsink fins of dust build up ?
