Could you swap the i3 out for an i5? At microcenter, you can get an 3.3 GHz i5 for $140, unopened, compleatly new.

You certainly can if you have a microcenter nearby they have great combo deals. I got an i7 ($325 and $225 after rebate) and MSI mobo ($175 before rebate and $115 after rebate)
