This is my first build. I was just wondering what everyone thought of it. I want it to be as future proof as possible so I thought it would be best to invest more into the CPU and MOBO and a little less into the graphics card. I can easily updgrade that in a year or so. As for the monitor, I have heard some people say 2ms is way better than 5ms and others have said it is barely noticed.

other than that suggestion, you've put together a nice build :)

For the sake of $10 ($5 if you change PSU), id recommend the i5-2500k. Despite you "probably wont be overclocking" its always nice to have the option. (Not to mention the motherboard has built in features to do it for you...) To be able to squeeze an extra 30% performance from your CPU just by clicking "overclock" would be madness to turn down over $10 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072

Thanks for the suggestion; I think I will switch to the i5 2500k. I think I would rather keep the PSU though. I am not overly concerned with looks but I would pay the $5 extra for another red light in the case.
