The choice in games this time is POOR at best. I'm personally disappointed that there isn't a Call of Duty game included in there, but maybe that's just personal bias. But opting for Farcry 2 instead of Crysis seems a bit odd to me as Crysis still has to be the more demanding game. The majority of the games on this list I doubt are going to make the majority of people's top list anyway.
Alright, now for the CARD selection. I agree with taking the ATI 2xxx series and nVidia 7xxx series out but there are a LOT of ATI 3xxx and 4xxx and nVidia 8xxx cards MISSING from these new charts. Particularly the budget cards, and that's VERY disappointing from Tom's. I mean just look at the number of cards on this list compared to last year's! This is NOT the thoroughness that we have come to love from Tom's. This is lazy and it feels to me like there may be some pressure from some marketing departments for the Tom's reviewers to only put the latest/greatest products out there. And that's a road we DEFINITELY don't want Tom's to go down.
Now the charts themselves, personally, I want to know if it's ATI or nVidia FIRST, then know who the manufacture is SECOND. The green/red/blue color scheme isn't working for me. You can label with the brand name, but the colors should only differentiate between the chipsets, like it always has.
Overall I grade this year's graphics charts with an "I" for incomplete. Poor game choices, lacking variety of cards, and less user-friendly presentation... no, that's not the quality of work that Tom's has always worked so hard to produce.
