I've just been offered Windows 8.1 and a 9800 gtx graphics card for free and I'm trying to build a gaming pc. I need some ideas for a good CPU, PSU, RAM, MOBO, case, and probably a cooling unit of some sort. I have an old optical drive I can use from my old pc but other than than what would you guys suggest? I need something UNDER $300. Not a penny more, this is also not including rebates. Because in the end it will still cost more than $300 if there are rebates.
Thanks in advance!

The CPU has a built in GPU. That is an AMD APU, meaning its all integrated and actually gives decent performance. I don't see why are you figuring $100 for that GPU, you got it for free and would be lucky to get $20 on craigslist for it...

Pepito is probably the most basic build for the price you want you can get for. I think your 9800 should be fine on league with 60 frames. My friend uses a amd 6570 and can get 100frames on howling abyss on max settings currently and I think both cards are similar in performance.

Not sure how it'll run on a 1080p monitor or higher tho.
