Hi there,

I'm thinking about buying a Geforce 2 GTS; I'd like to know your experiences with this card, and like to know if this one will work with a DVD and 3D games, such as UT, Q3 or HL.

I'm interested in the O/C abilities as well (hell, why did I post it here ;-)

GreetZZZ,

Robert

Well, as you can read most of the reviews anywhere, the GeForce2 GTS is a great card (if you don't mind the price).
It has excellent performances and nVidia has a great driver stratety.

I lOVE my GeFORCE 2 card.(CREATIVE ANNIHILATOR2)
Quite overclockable (software based--nvtweak shows
up in msconfig.exe)

Quake three runs FASTASHELL at 1600*1200. Not sure about
the frames per second but has to be anywhere from 50 to
70, or more...

So the GTS is good for 3D games, does it support OpenGL and the other standards?
And do I need a separate decoder in order to see DVD's of ACCEPTEBLE quality?

the only thing it doesn't seem to support is glide, which is a 3dfx thing, but glide seems to by dying out. it does support openGL and D3D (the 2 main standards). the gts is GREAT for games and i have NO complaints about dvd playback with my leadtek winfast geforce2 gts. although i favor the gts, i have read that the radeon, while not giving the same raw fps performnce, is strong in 32bit settings and has superior picture quality in games and dvd playback.
