Question Geforce 4 ti 4600 No display

I'm trying to get a geforce 4 ti 4600 to work on a windows 98 machine but I cannot get any display, I have geforce 71.43 drivers installed and I get display just fine with a riva tnt 2, but I tested two 4600's, both have no display and after about a minute or so the system powers off

iWill KD266, athlon xp 1600+ 320mb ram, windows 98 unofficial service pack 3 also I was incorrect on the drivers, its actually forceware version 71.84 instead

Its possible the GPU isn’t compatible with the system, or the GPU itself is broken. If possible check it with another system.

If you're using a power supply from that era, you should probably replace it.

Well the problem with "check with another system" is that the GeForce 4 uses a slot that hasn't been on any system in about 17 years.

These systems are kinda easy to get though, either for free or for a small price used. It’s hard to know anything without collecting more information.

I think I have a newerish dell optiplex with a pentium 3 I can try
