GeForce GTX 1070 G1 gaming 8G rev, 2.0 vs GeForce GTX 1070 G1 gaming 8G rev, 1.0 What's the difference? They are the same card, will the rev version affect SLI ?

Ok, thank you. I've wanted to do some sort of graphics upgrade. My system is a few years old I can't upgrade the whole thing, but my 4790k should handle 1070 SLI Ok.
I'm not sure i'd bother with SLI, what are you will to pay to upgrade, what can you sell your 1070 for, and what can you get for that money.
The different Revision numbers usually indicate that GIGABYTE has found some engineering flaw in the earlier revision warranting an engineering fix and release of a modified card due to circuit board modifications.

On the retail packaging look for one of the following logos:

GIGABYTE-Ge-Force-GTX-1070-G1-GAMING-8-G-rev-1-0-and-rev-2-0-diffe.jpg

The GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8G (rev. 1.0) card uses RGB SPECTRUM.

The GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8G (rev. 2.0) card uses RGB FUSION 2.0.
