gigabyte g1 gaming 980 ti vs msi gaming 6G 980 ti?

Both cards cost the same amount (where I live).

Which should I go for?

I do care about noise levels and overclocking.

I have a method to pick between equally performing products.
Go to newegg and find the candidates.
Filter on the most reviews by verified buyers.
Then look at what percent of the reviews have one or two eggs indicating some sort of a problem.
In particular, look at the reasons for a bad review. Some are not very valid, so exclude those.

In this case, I would forgo the slightly higher performance of the gigabyte in favor of the msi which has fewer negative reviews.

I'll check out newegg, I didn't look since I live in Europe but I'll have a look

I would personally go with the MSI. Even though the Gigabyte generally OCs better the MSI comes close and it runs much quieter to and unlike the G1 Gaming there is no coil whine. A tad cheaper too if I'm not mistaken.

I agree with UncreativeName about the MSI Choice. I also prefer MSI's Products and as for noise for level it's very quiet. Using their stuff I've had no problem with coil whine or the likes. In terms of overclocking you wouldn't go wrong with MSI.
