Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H

I have just built new system with GA-MA785GM-US2H motherboard. Systems posts with one memory module installed in DDR-1. With two memory modules installed in DDR-1 and DDR-2, post fails with continuous long beeps. Changed the memory voltage from 1.8 to 1.9 and 2.0; same result.

Memory modules are both good, as either one works by itself in DDR-1. They cane from another system (FoxConn), where they were configured and working at 2x2gb dual channel. Memory is Corsair CM2X2048-6400C5, 1.80V ver 4.2.

Read a similar thread here where the Gigabyte was RMAed for a different brand motherboard. Is there any way to get this 4GB running dual channel on this motherboard?

IF you are trying to OC your memory above 800MHz - "Due to AMD AM3/ AM2+ CPU limitation, DDR2 1066 or above speed is only supported by 1 dimm per channel."

Your MOBO {GA-MA785GMxxx or GA-MA785GPMxxx} is not listed at Corsair's website, nor is it white listed with GA - http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-ma785gm-us2h.pdf

My assumption, is that possibly the DDR2 and not correct for your MOBO. Also, for now, set BIOS only to Load Optimized with no other changes until this problem is resolved.

If DDR2_1 + DDR2_2 fail then you can also try DDR2_3 + DDR2_4.
