There should be a standard API (in DirectInput, maybe?) for controlling mouse illumination. Then, games could actually make use it to show things like what mode you're in.

Usually just after the 2 year(warranty period) mark alot of the 2013s, and even the chromas have started getting a double click issue.
The tac switch gets worn, so one input is occasionally read as two.
