Hello,

I'm considering a Gigabyte Z390 Designare mobo for a build. I need Trusted Platform Module (TPM) support and I can't figure out whether this mobo has it. The only mention of TPM in the documentation is an Enable / Disable setting in the BIOS, but this could be just generic documentation. Other Gigabyte mobos like the Aorus Pro mention a TPM header in the documentation, but not the Designare. Does this mobo actually support TPM, either as a header for an add-on module or soldered directly onto the mobo?

Thanks

I came across this when considering getting the Z390 DESIGNARE, which I now own. I was very confused by such a cutting-edge board not having a Trusted Platform Module header. Turns out, the motherboard supports a feature called Intel PTT, which provides TPM functionality without the need for a separate aftermarket TPM. It's referenced in section 2-9 of the manual. This runs on the Z390 chipset directly as part of the Intel Management Engine, so you shouldn't need to choose a processor to support it either. Hope this helps anyone else who searched this up!
