Question Gnome high resource usage

i installed arch linux a few days back on my laptop and installed gnome as my desktop environment. as of now everything was fine until today i noticed increased cpu nd mem usage on my laptop. i dont know if its normal or not plz help me. here are the screenshots

Ignore the 3rd one, the other two are normal. Resource reporting isn't always accurate and seeing CPU usage bump around up to 50% is normal as long as it doesn't stay that way for long periods of time. The only exceptions are when your updating.

that is normal ram usage for gnome. i'm using 3.4gb with a few tabs open in chrome and discord and spotify running.

gnome is quite a heavy desktop though, and i wouldn't recommend it with 4gb of ram for that reason... if your system becomes slow then i would switch to xfce.
