Hi, I want to do some more gaming on my PC, but I don't know what kind of gpu to get. I want an affordable (obviously) one that can work with a 300w PSU. Right now I am considering the EVGA GeForce 8400 GS 1 GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0, except that it says a 350w PSU is recommended. Will this work with my 300w PSU, or should I consider a new GPU? Anything under $100 is good.

An 8400GS is extremely low-end and will be an absolute waste of money for the terribly low performance it'll bring. Your only real options for a decent gaming experience are the GTX 750 or 750Ti if you can save up a bit more. They'll be a massive improvement over anything old like that 8400GS, and they run just fine on old crappy PSUs as they get all their power from the PCI-E slot and don't require additional power connectors.
