Recently google.com has started showing me an error when I log on to it. I usually use Google Chrome, and when this was happening for a while, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome but had no luck with it.
I then tried loading google.com in other Firefox and Internet Explorer, but it didn't load either.
In Firefox I get this message:
"www.google.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided.
(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)"
I tried resetting Internet Explorer to default settings and when I restarted the computer google.com worked at first, but stopped when I opened Firefox. This happened once or twice, but now it seems to come straight to the error message.
I read that I can download a certificates list from Microsoft.com through the Microsoft Update Catalog, but the only thing my search turned up were updates for Windows 2000.
It's not a date/time error. They are correct.
I hope I'm posting this in the right place, since it's Windows 7 related.
