Got a new DVD Burner...now what?

I just got a new DVD burner and was wondering what is the best software for doing system backups? With a few DVD's I should be able to do a full backup of my system (minus MP3's and photos). But I wasn't sure of what software to use for the backup that would be the best solution in case of hard disk failure.

Nero or Roxio would both be fine for doing a straight backup of all files. If you want to creat image files of your HDD, use something like Norton Ghost. You could then burn the image to DVD using Nero and you would be able to restore your system to the exact state it was in when the image was made.
