Question GPU Backplate cooling

I was wondering if could put copper plates and thermal pads in the back PCB of the GPU to help cool down the GPU.
Does this any help even at least -2c?

I do not think it will do much of anything. the heatsource will have the heatsink on it and the pins do not have the surface area for proper cooling impact.
unless the backplate is connected via heatpipe I do not think it will work for cooling. it may look cool but...

A friend of mine actually put a backplate on his gpu to protect his air cooler. His GPU had 2 broken fan blades on it and was heating up more than it should.

I'm also thinking if the thermal pads are conductive, since it will touch a lot of soldered pins underneath
