Hello everyone,

my GPU died today, and I'am looking for a replacement.

My PC specs:
MB: Gigabyte Z170-D3H
CPU: i5 6600k + CM Hyper 212X cooler
RAM: DDR4 16GB 3000MHz G.skill ripjaw

* important - PSU: Corsair TX650w : Would you recommend also replacing this, as it is already 8 years old?

What would you get to be best paired with the rest, and would you actually upgrade the other parts as well? ( If it is a better option)

My options are :

2070 - around 590$
2060 - around 440$
5700 XT - around 540$

Thanks

Solution
I would get the 2070, if it is only 50$ more than the 5700Xt. if you can also get the non xt and overclock it, should be almost as good as the xt, for around 440$ like the 2060 but beat it.

And i wouldnt replace the psu, especially since you probably didnt stretch it to its limit alot.

Would you consider a ASUS GeForce™ GTX 1080 TURBO-GTX1080-8G for 400$ to be a good option?
hm... it would be okay, but not amazing.
for 350 or lower i might consider it, but for 400 you can get a 2060 super which is very very close in performance, but have rtx, better video encoding and will get updates for longer.
or a 5700 that can be overclocked to beat its performance really easily.

EDIT:
are you comparing that to the prices you listed above?
you said a 2060 (i assume not super) is 440$?
If you ment like
a 2060 non super costs 440$, and a 1080 costs 400$, the 1080 is a much much better buy.

yeah, those are the prices available where i live.
the cheapest 2060 super: ASUS GeForce™ RTX 2060 SUPER DUAL is 510$; the STRIX is 550$.

the cheapest 2070 super: ASUS GeForce™ RTX 2070 SUPER DUAL is 680$, the AURUS is 720$.
Edit: GigaByte PCI-E 3.0 8GB, GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER WINDFORCE OC 3X is 620$

I found a regular 5700 for 430$, Im guessing this will be the best choice.

yes, but a wide margin.
its faster than the 2060 super out of the box, and almost as fast as the 1080, and can be overclocked much much higher, and even be flashed with 5700xt bios to get to 2070 (non super) performance.

its drivers has lots of bugs, from experience.
but, amd just released bug reports on their software and they said they know it has many bugs, and they will work as best they can to make them better.
