GPU difference?

hey, I always see cards like this where they have the normal edition then have an OC edition for like £5 more, is there even a considerable difference, for instance which one of these two GPUs would be better, I would assume the first one but the second is only 25 pence less:

i will go for higher clock from any brand.... as long as it is cheap

generally the oc edition cards comes with a better cooler so that it can handle the extra heat generated due to oc ing and a tested stable oc level.
the choice depends on individual preference.
I prefer to oc my case myself because I feel factory oc is not worth the money when I can do that myself.

Simply go for the cheaper one, I would say. They are both the same physical card except that one is clocked ever so slightly higher than the other. The in-game difference of a 60MHz OC is gonna be pretty minimal and you will be able to OC either one with the same potential.

I bought a Sapphire Radeon 7850 2GB (stock clocks) for my brother and that thing is a very potent Overclocker; it was able to max out the sliders in MSI Afterburner no problem at all, perfectly stable. Stock clock was, I think something around 850MHz and the max that MSI Afterburner allowed was 1050MHz, which it did without a bother. There was pretty much no temp difference either, that thing was running at 60C under FULL load, which is crazy. If the 7850 had voltage control, I reckon it could be pushed to ridiculous clocks. I should also mention that the OC gave around a 30% performance increase which is pretty good.

A 60MHz OC will hardly constitute a temperature increase, not one that would require a special cooling solution anyways. Also, these 2 cards are physically exactly the same, so I would go for the cheaper one and simply OC the poo out of it.

A MHz increase will bring NO temp increase.....given that the voltages are the same....

but id say if your confidant in overclocking your card....get the less exp one....

if plug and play is what you're after, go for a card with a good factory overclock and enjoy....
