GPU Failure? Or bad install?

My system specs are: (i know it's old)
Abit KR7A w/ Raid
2.25gb DDR RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7600 gs
Overclocked AMD XP 2600+
OKIA-450ATX PSU etc...

I have Win7 Ultimate installed. I also have GTA San Andreas. The game is perfect. Runs fast and everything, but it has a HORRIBLE glitching problem. I attached a picture. When i play the game it looks like this. If i pause the game, go to advanced graphics settings in the GTA menu, and change the Anti Aliasing setting, or the Frame Limiter setting, gameplay looks normal... for a second. Then it goes back to this. It returns the game to normal looks, and a second later, this carp**.

I have VNC running in the background as a client, so could that be it? I will try that in a minute.

PLEASE someone help me. I have never encountered this before

Is it only in this game that it does that?

If you do a search around the web you may find some work-arounds though.

it is the only game i tried.

it works on my gf's pc that is running Windows 7 Ultimate.

i would look it up, but i don't even know what to call this weird glitching problem.

Try other games, also bring the CPU to stock speeds and try again.

This is an issue with textures, can be a bad card, issue with Windows, maybe drivers.

It's a poly processing problem. Usually caused by an overheating GPU, or a bad GPU.

Hi,

I've had this problem and you need to go in nvidia control panel and disable vsync and stuff (I don't remember exactly what,k but I know it's the advance options for the game)

vsync wil help with tearing, not poly problems.
