Hello! I have noticed these grayish, see through, bars that have appeared on the left side of  both of my monitors that are plugged in via DisplayPort to my GPU. The gray bars are always there, more visable with some backgrounds than others. Sometimes the bars flicker when playing games. I have the latest GPU drivers.

Is this fixable, is it my GPU that's the problem? Since the bars are at the same place on both my monitors I guess it's not the monitors?

Do the panels behave the same way when hooked to the iGPU? Your motherboard has an HMDI port, likewise you have one available HDMI port on the discrete GPU. If you don't see any issues while on HDMI, You can can try and see if your motherboard has any BIOS updates pending.

Following that, see if your OS is pending updates. Following that, use DDU to remove all GPU driver(intel, AMD and lastly Nvidia) and then manually reinstall the latest GPU driver sourced from Nvidia's support site, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

You forgot to mention the make and model of your PSU and it's age.

Thanks for the reply!

My PSU is the Corsair AX1600i 1600W and I built my entire computer with brand new parts in 2021.

My OS is fully updated.

Don't know if it helps but the grey bars are barely visable when the screen is white.

I tried plugging in my monitor to the GPU and the iGPU using HDMI, the computer notices the monitor but the screen is all black, so I can't really try that yet. I'm going to try finding another way to plug the monitor/monitors in to see if they're the problem.

I successfully connected the monitor to the GPU using HDMI, I feel like it's almost more visable now. I also noticed that the "grey bar" kind of curves in the upper left corner. I took a new picture. Maybe it helps with the troubleshooting?

I haven't been able to test the monitor using the iGPU with HDMI yet, might have to go into BIOS to enable that.

Just tried the monitors with a different computer and they still had the grey band so I guess it's the monitors that are faulty.
