Hi i recently bought a new Mobo, CPU and RAM. I kept my existing GPU because i would be staying on 1080p for a while until i can upgrade that.
my old system specs are:
-asus rog strix 2080 ti
-i9 9900k oc 5ghz
-16gb ddr4 3600mhz
-z370 mbd
-x63 kracken cpu cooler
my new system specs are:
-asus rog strix 2080 ti
-7800x3d
-32gb ddr5 6000mhz
-b650e-f mbd
-x63 kracken cpu cooler
on my old system i used a bench marking app called userbenchmark and the gpu would get scores ranging from 150-180% and now since adding that same gpu to this higher spec system it only can get 105% which is awful to say its basically saying the 2080ti is as good as a 2070 score.
i knew from the start that 7800x3d is quite clearly a way higher spec component compared to my 2080ti but i thought it could hold its own in 1080p.
in apex legends i used to range from 180-270 most the time and now its barely touching 200 at all.
I don't think it's overheating.
the PSU is a seasonic 850w 80+ gold and the case in a antec p110 midi tower and i they are both 4/5years old.
