Hi everyone, first time posting.

I have a self built PC that is roughly 2 years old

PROBLEM: When I run a stress test on the GPU or do any heavy rendering from video editing software, the PC shuts down and restarts, as if someone pulled the power cord out. This varies from, immediatly upon started the stress test, to sometimes getting a few minutes before a crash.

PC specs:
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte X299 DESIGNARE EX-CF
  • CPU: 18-Core Intel Core i9-7980XE Extreme Edition, 4200 MHz (42 x 100)
  • RAM: G Skill RipjawsV F4-2666C15-16GVR 16 GB DDR4-2666 DDR4 SDRAM (15-15-15-35 @ 1333 MHz)
  • GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Gaming iCX (11G-P4-6696)
  • PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G3
  • CPU cooling: Noctua NH-D15

So far I have tried:
  • Running clean and dust free
  • Updating all drivers to latest versions etc.
  • Moving the tower to another room/outlet
  • Using a different power cord
  • Stress tested just the CPU (no problem running at 100% for over 10 mins)
  • Updating Bios to current version
  • Removed all overclocking software and run all components at factory settings
Any help or ideas appreciated!
