Dude, upgrade that CPU! Get at least athlon x4 620 which retails for around Rs. 5500 in india.

ATI 5850 will cost you Rs. 17500, while ATI 4890 and GTX 275 retails for around Rs. 13000.

Wait for sometime. Newer generation ATI cards would be available shortly. Price should be like this-

ATI 5770 1GB - 11000
ATI 5750 1GB - 8900
ATI 5750 512MB - 7500

You can choose according to your budget.

What is your current GPU?

As I stated before, the CPU is much more important on a render box than the GPU.
You really should focus on upgrading your woefully inadequate CPU first.
Post what motherboard you have and we can see what CPU upgrades are viable.

Yes, GDDR5 GPU's have been available in the wild for more than a year now.
ATI's 4870, 4870x2, 4890, 5850 and 5870 all utilise GDDR5 as do nVidia's GT 240, GTS 250m and GTS 260m.
