i want to buy a graphic card upto 250$ can any one suggest me ............i want specially for 3d work on 3dmax like applications........ please help me??????????????
What is your current configuration?
My understanding is the CPU is much more important than the GPU in a rendering box.
Depending on your current configuration, your cash may be better spent on a less expensive GPU and a faster CPU.
i have amd athlon x2 2.00ghz 5gb ram and 650w power and i just want it for 3d work not for gaming i have seen nvidia quadro but they are to much expensive
and ya i leave in india so it is very diffucult to find mid or high end graphic cards

As I stated before, the CPU is much more important on a render box than the GPU.
You really should focus on upgrading your woefully inadequate CPU first.
Post what motherboard you have and we can see what CPU upgrades are viable.

Yes, GDDR5 GPU's have been available in the wild for more than a year now.
ATI's 4870, 4870x2, 4890, 5850 and 5870 all utilise GDDR5 as do nVidia's GT 240, GTS 250m and GTS 260m.
