which is the cheapest/best card for using with a 4k....was thinking a gtx 970 but been told a 980 would be better, is that my only option or could i get two cards instead?

For gaming: GTX 980 SLI/GTX 980 Ti - AMD R9 390X SLI/AMD Fury

For desktop, one GTX 950 is enough.

SLI GTX 950 is useless at higher than 1080p.

AMD traditionally has done better at higher resolutions and DirectX12, so I would get either an R9 390X or Fury.

the cheapest would be two r9 290's, downside is you would need a GOOD 850w power supply minimum.

ya iv 1000psw thats the cheapest option or the fury its down to them or the 980 if i have the cash
