Question Graphics card shows 0 MB of VRAM and crashes when Nvidia drivers are installed - Windows 10 Pro x64 ?

Hi,

I bought this Nvidia GTX 1080 - Zotac Extreme AMP! from eBay.

The seller says that you can use it without the drivers and i try to do it, but Windows always installs driver and the screen crashes.

I try a lot of things:

• Install Last and Older version of Nvidia Drivers, always black screen and i can´t use the computer with the VGA. With the CPU integrate GPU i can still using it.
• I reflash the BIOS with techpowerup one, without errors but still the same.
• I use NVIDIA Mats to search for HW problems and nothing wrong here, pass all the test....

In GPU-Z it shows 0 MB of VRAM, and lost the Bandwitch and Bus Bits of the board.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

If GPU-Z shows 0MB in video memory size, then the card's either gone kaput or the VBIOS went somewhere it shouldn't have. The last time the same issue happened to me, I had to RMA the card. If reflashing the VBIOS or reflowing the memory on the GPU doesn't help then the card's an expensive paper weight at this point.

I have some tools here and i can try to change components but i dont know what component can be the bad one, cause in MATS the GPU doesnt have errors, the voltages of the MOSFET/PCIe seems good, ....

have you solved the problem? im having the same issue and my bios without my gpu is clear but when i enter my bios with my gpu its glitchy. whenever i install the drivers it gets black screen
