Question Graphics card with Nvidia 1gb card

I'm yet to purchase a used Dell desktop computer with Nvidia 1gb card. I will be using it for learning graphic designing, programming, web design and geography. Actually, I have two options to choose from. Either I go for the 1gb or 512mb graphic card. Please help choose.

Could you please parse the links to the builds you have as options for purchase? Off the top of my head it seems you might be buying a system that's probably 10 or more years old. If so, what sort of app's are you looking to tax the system with?
