Hi,

My PC's graphics Card with one HDMI and one DVI and the TV & Monitor have only HDMI - I wish to extend displays and connect both.

Previous monitor had DVI so I connected the monitor via DVI, but new monitor has just two HDMI's.

Both TV and Monitor are in the same room, please advise best solution?

I was thinking either a HDMI Splitter or a DVI to HDMI cable for the monitor connection?

Thanks

Thanks but would a Displayport to HDMI work for me?
My monitor is ViewSonic VX2363SMHL
How would the displayport connections work with this?

Any benefits of displayport to hdmi over dvi to hdmi?

I googled costs and dvi to hdmi appears to be a lot cheaper, I understand it may not transfer sound but the monitor has built in speakers and if I connect the hdmi to the tv I can always output sound there as well?

Thanks

Most modern graphic card should have a Displayport. What's your gpu?
Yes it should work. It just converts the Displayport output from the graphic card to a HDMI input.

My graphics card only has • Connectors: VGA, HDMI, DVI-I
It's listed here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/VTX3D-Graphics-Express-CrossFireX-Technology/dp/B009KSLBPQ

So looks like displayport will not work so I'll go ahead and buy a DVI to HDMI cable from eBay.

Thanks for your help. :)
