I'm looking at getting a GTX 1060 in a blower design for a new ITX HTPC build. From what I can see, there are three models that are made for this:

NVidia Founders Edition
EVGA 5161-KR
ASUS Turbo

Which of these is the best in terms of noise and cooling? The blower design seems to be the best idea for thermals in the small case, but as a HTPC that will be on frequently, the quieter it can be the better.

I'm mainly curious on how the EVGA fits into the list as I have found no reviews of this model anywhere. The FE and ASUS models I have a good idea about from other reviews, but am still open you your opinions about.

Thanks in advance!

Well, Most blower cards tend to be sort of loud.

Do you have to have a blower style card?

Most 1060's that are not ref are designed to shut the fans off below a certain temp, I normally have my 1070 fan off till around 60c, I'm pretty certain you can't shut off the blower style fans if noise is that much of a problem.
