GTX 1060 Temps

I recently purchased a GTX 1060 (Evga 6gb if this matters) And I noticed that during gameplay it was running around 80-82 degrees. I took the safe route and shut down the game. What's the safe temperature for these cards, and if I'm running it to high, what would the problem be?

Okay, so I shoudn't be worried with the mid 80 range? Sorry for my paranoia, I dont want to end up breaking anything expensive.

Mini card (7 Inches) And it's in a stock ASUS case, but I have fairly good airflow in the case.

Mini Cards run hotter and in an ASUS case they will heat up because of the restricted Airflow. Will be fine. You can use MSI afterburner to setup a custom fan curve...Might help.

MSI Afterburner will work? It's an EVGA card..

Yes it will , I prefer Afterburner , better interface , easy to work with.
