im planning to make a completely new pc but im kinda stuck in a crossroads when it come to what gpu i should go with im doing single monitor 1080p gaming and i want to be able to run ultra I know I could get that with all 3 of theses cards but im also trying to factor in longevity so what better way then to ask the pc community. For perspective these cards will be partnered up with a i5 9400f, and 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz. any feedback will be GREATLY appreciated.

MY MAIN QUESTION (kinda):
will 6gb DDR6 VRAM be enough for ultra 1080p gaming 3 to 5 years from now.

Solution
At this moment across 50 of the tops titles and 1080p Ultra with RTX off you get this as an average.

1660 is not capable of Ultra 60+ fps
1660 TI is not capable of Ultra 60+ fps
RTX 2060 is not capable of Ultra 60+ fps
RTX 2060 Super is close to giving you Ultra 60+ Fps $399
RTX 2070 is able to give you Ultra 60+ fps $481
RX 5700 XT is able to give you Ultra 60+ Fps $399
RTX 2070 Super is able to give you Ultra 60+ Fps $499

An RX 5700 XT is at an RTX 2070 Super performance level and depending on the title sometimes better.

A 9400F $140 is capable of 60+ FPS but with some notable minor stuttering issues in some games whereas a Ryzen 2600X $150 gives you roughly the same FPS across all games without that issue. 🤔

How do you...
Nobody can guarantee 3-5 years from now.... but consider the fact that no matter which GPU you look at from the 3, they're not likely to hit "Ultra" on all titles in 5 years, regardless of the VRAM.

I would expect a xx60 card to have the same general longevity of any previous xx60 or x60 card.
Consider a GTX 760 in 2019. 6 years old and it'll still do reasonably well at 1080p, even with 2GB of VRAM -- but it's days as a card capable of "Ultra" on anything but the least demanding titles are long gone.
