I have a GTX 1660 Super and an Intel I7 and was playing minecraft 2 days ago with shaders on, I got around 100 fps without a lot of frame drops. When I wanted to play again yesterday it only gets to around 25-35 when I’m in a multiplayer server and around 60 when I’m in a single world. Keep in mind that 2 days ago i easily reached 100 fps in a multiplayer server. All my settings are on normal and my render distance is 14. The weird thing is that it doesn’t even matter if my settings are low or max bcs the fps kinda stays the same. A friend of mine has a GTX 1060 and easily runs the same shaders with 90-110 fps. It is also only in minecraft that my fps does this, other games like for example for honor can run 90-120 fps and it’s a bigger game thank minecraft. Does anyone know why minecraft is doing this? I can’t find anything online that helps

Welcome to the forums! Please list your full system specifications including make and model numbers
Case:
Power Supply:
Motherboard:
CPU:
RAM:
Graphics Card:
Storage:
OS:
Please post full system specifications with make and model included. If I had to guess I would say your CPU may be over heating. Check HWinfo for temps. Run sensors only.
I am at work right now but when I’m home I will send all the specs, I don’t think it’s my cpu overheating because other games run just fine but I will check it out when I get home, thanks in advance
